Suntory Hakushu 12Yr Single Malt Japanese Whisky
For those familiar with my preferences, it's no secret that I have a deep appreciation for Japanese whiskey. Among my collection, the Hakushu 12-year-old stands out as a clear favorite. This particular bottle holds a special place in my heart and is incredibly versatile. Whether savored on its own, enjoyed neat, blended into a refreshing highball, or incorporated into a flavorful whiskey smash, the Hakushu 12yr never fails to deliver a delightful and memorable experience.
Hakushu 12yr has aroma of pears, crushed leafy bracken a hint of citrus. You can enjoy subtle smokiness and the sweet poached pears on the palate.
Nose: Light and grassy and slightly stony to start. In time there’s sweet persimmon and nut.
Palate: Pure and very clean. Sweet lime, green fruits then a hint of smoke and a buttery meadow sweet/chamomile note. Light to the point of fragility.
Finish: Honey, lemon and a little ginger.
